posted on April 30th, 2012 at 3:22 pm

In the NY Post, John Amirante is profiled and says that he likes the direction that this team is heading in and wants there to be another situation where he sings the National Anthem in the Stanley Cup Finals.

He said, “I think they’re very good. And then remember, they’ve got Lundqvist.”

The Post says that Amirante has been singing at Ranger games since November 1980.

Brian Leetch’s goal to open the scoring is one of my all-time favorite goals. My favorite moment is Adam Graves screaming 1940 into the camera.

WATCH the History Will Be Made Commercial of the Matteau goal.

The trade that brought Matteau to the Rangers has been called one of the best Ranger trade deadline moves.

Matteau’s son Stefan played this season for the for the US National Team. He had four goals and five assists in 28 games.
