No one is going to help the Rangers make the playoffs. They can only help themselves
That is all about the Rangers identity and everyone buying into what John Tortorella is selling. This is the foundation of the team, not just for this year, but moving forward. When everyone buys in, you can make comebacks.
What I hate the most is how they celebrate as if they just won game seven in overtime when they score on the Rangers. It’s like they are taking a direct shot at John Tortorella when they celebrate. If Zherdev played all season like he did yesterday than he wouldn’t be a healthy scratch most of the time for the Flyers. In fact, if he played like that, he may still be a Ranger.
P.A. Parenteau should love the Rangers organization for giving him an opportunity to play at the NHL level last season and expose him to the Isles.
For a guy who liked tried and hurt during the Islanders and Sabres game, Staal looked like a totally different person yesterday. Yesterday was the type of game that Marc Staal is going to play for the rest of his career as he enters the upper echelon of defensemen in the league. The Rangers are fourth in the league in goal differential, but 42 of the Rangers 218 goals, came in six blowout wins.
Thanks to Mike, on Facebook, for sending that over.
Those blowout wins do inflate the Rangers number, but they would still be positive if you cut all the goals from those games in half. There really isn’t enough time left in the season to ask them to be more consistent with their scoring, now it’s just time to score.

That makes sense. You are on the road, just with the team and away from all the distractions that being home can bring. I think it also helps that this team is so tight knit.
Either way, the Rangers have played well on the road all season long and have been better at home lately.
The Rangers have three straight road games and then finish up with three games at Madison Square Garden.
