John Tortorella said on the post game show on MSG last night that Brandon Prust “set the tone” last night. Torts said that Prust decides when to fight and that he usually makes the right decision and that “he certainly did today.”
He also said:
“He has balls as big as the building, doesn’t he?”
Tortorella said the same thing about Dan Girardi last season.
During the post game show on MSG, when asked about the quick fight to start the game, Henrik Lundqvist said “here we go.”
Prust said during an interview with Bill Pidto that he asked Zac Rinaldo if he wanted to fight before the opening faceoff and Rinaldo said yes.
He also said during that interview with Pidto that his arms felt like “jello” after his fight with Wayne Simmonds.
Prust said during the 24/7 preview show that he hates the Flyers more than any other team.
John Tortorella said during the postgame last night that Prust had been playing great since he was benched in Vancouver.

Prust fought Rupp on November 29th.
He had surgery on his shoulder, to repair a torn labrum, on April 29th. Prust said over the weekend that his shoulder was feeling good.
