In the NY Times, George Bretherton writes about team chemistry and identity and how the Rangers would make a mistake in trading a Brandon Dubinsky in a deal for Rick Nash.

While saying that Nash will likely add more scoring to the Rangers, he notes that Nash, or someone, would need to step up and play the important role and minutes that Dubinsky has been.

Addition without subtracting from a team’s core strength helped the Rangers and the Devils win Stanley Cups in 1994 and 1995. Such logic worked then, and it still applies now.

49% of readers said that they don’t want the Rangers to trade Dubinsky, while 43% said that they would move him depending on the deal.
