Connecticut Whale: Rangers acquire Casey Wellman through trade
The New York Rangers have announced that center Erik Christensen has been dealt to the Minnesota Wild, along with a conditional seventh-round draft choice, in exchange for 25-year-old center, Casey Wellman.
Christensen, 28, played in five games with the Connecticut Whale this season, after agreeing to a two-week conditioning stint. He scored twice and added one assist.
Wellman has been assigned to the Whale. He has 14 goals and 12 assists in 26 games this season with the Houston Aeros–Minnesota’s AHL team. Wellman likely wont join the Whale for their game tonight at home against the Albany Devils (7pm ET). More to come on Wellman’s addition later today.
