At TSN, via Adam by email, the crew of That’s Hockey 2 Night had a discussion of how they think the 2012 Canadian Olympic team will shake out.
They have Marc Staal on the second defense pair with Drew Doughty and former Canadian coach Marc Crawford picked Michael Del Zotto to be on the team.
On Del Zotto, Crawford said:
“The blend players – the guys that can defend and play a puck-moving style – there’s room for those guys.”
It has been suggested before that Staal could be a member of Team Canada in 2014.
It has also been suggested to have Staal pair with Dan Girardi for Team Canada.
