Stats: Scott Gomez As A Canadien
The 30-year-old Gomez has struggled this season with only two goals and six points. In total, he has 14 goals and 65 points in 98 games for the Canadiens. He also has four more seasons, including this one, remaining on his $7.36-million-a-year deal.
…As much of a Gomez fan as I was/am, that is just brutal. Certainly, the Ryan McDonagh, Pavel Valentenko and Brandon Prust by way of the Christopher Higgins trade, are much more preferable. Not to mention that Marian Gaborik was signed with the leftover cap space.
