Read: Flyers Still Being Investigated For Chris Pronger Contract
According to CSN Philly, the NHL is still investigating the Philadelphia Flyers and their contract extension for defenseman, and noted elbower, Chris Pronger.
NHL Deputy Commissioner Billy Daly told CSN Philly that the contract can be de-registered if they find it circumvents the salary cap.
The Flyers stand by the seven-year contract worth a total of $34 million that Pronger signed before last season.
….I think that if the contract is voided, still unlikely, the perfect punishment is for the Flyers to give the Rangers Claude Giroux or James van Riemsdyk while they take Wade Redden back. Seems like a perfect punishment for cap circumvention.
