Newsday quotes the president of Hofstra as saying that he will fight having a casino so close to the school.

According to Chris Botta, Nassau County Executive Edward Mangano wants to partner with Charles Wang to create a Foxwoods Casino-type complex that would include a new arena and practice facility for the Islanders.

This plan wouldn’t need to be approved by the Town of Hempstead.

…It’s interesting and would seem like the most appealing plan for everyone. At least to me.

…I know that Sarcasm Cocktail wouldn’t love this.
