Bob McKenzie reports that Eric Nystrom has signed with Minnesota for three years at $1.4 million.
…Upset. Most everyone thought he was returning to Sysosset to play for the Isles. Used to see him and his Dad around town once in a while. Nice family.

Darren Dreger tweets that many teams are interested in former Ranger Christopher Higgins.
…27, and has scored 20 goals three times. No one is sure what happened to him this season, bu there is a lot of upside and energy with Higgins for a team looking for that.

Bob McKenzie tweets that the deal is three years, 3.5 million.
…I assume that’s 3.5 million total. Cullen basically is what he is — a 40-something point center who can play on the second or third line. Good add for Minnesota; they had practically no depth at center.
