Thoughts: A pleasant surprise for the Rangers, certainly as a player picked up on waivers in the middle of the season. Christensen excelled when he played with Marian Gaborik and the Rangers found a stop gap first line center. However he continued to play well when the Rangers needed him down the stretch and he could very well find himself back with the Rangers for this coming season. He talked often about his hockey life being on the line and when he got his chance with Gabby he showed he had some game. Even if the Rangers do bring in a top flight center to play with Gabby, Christensen has shown he can play a top six role.
