Worlds: USA Defeats Italy In Shootout
Brandon Dubinsky had a goal and an assist as the United States defeated Italy 3-2 in a shootout.
Dubinsky’s ten points in the last three games leads the tournament
…Sort of telling. He didn’t do much in the first three but when it came down to lesser competition and the USA needing to win, Dubi went off
Italy was up 2-1 in the third when Dubinsky and Matt Gilroy assisted on a Ryan Potulny goal.
In the game,
Dubinsky had the goal and an assist, played 20:02, had five shots and was named Best Player of the game.
Gilroy had the assist, played only 8:45, had two shots on was a minus one.
Chris Kreider played nearly 12 minutes and had one shot on goal
The USA will be eligible for the 2011 World Championships
…Thats great and all but I would really prefer that no Rangers are in it next year. Kreider could and maybe Derek Stepan, but no roster players please. Lets keep them in the playoffs
