The biggest question of the off-season, as of now, is what they will do with Dan Girardi. Marc Staal needs a raise and Girardi deserves one, but whether or not the team will give it to him remains to be seen. He is an RFA so the Rangers hold his rights and could deal him, but that is money the Rangers can allot to him or to another part of the lineup.
While he seemed to fall out of favor in Vancouver, I could see Pavol Demitra coming to the Rangers. Not for a lot of money, he made $4 million this past season, and is 35 but he is Marian Gaborik‘s buddy and someone that could play opposite him. That would probably spell the end for Vinny Prospal but I would think one of the two of them will be on the Rangers next season.
