West Recap: ‘Yotes Force Game 7, Kings Eliminated
Petr Prucha and the Phoenix Coyotes have forced a game seven in their series against Detroit with a 5-2 win.
Prucha had an assist as former Ranger Lauri Korpikoski, Matthieu Schneider, Radim Vrbata, Wojtek Wolski and Taylor Pyatt scored for Phoenix.
For Detroit, Brad Stuart and Darren Helm scored.
Game seven is Tuesday night.
…I have to say I am pulling for Phoenix. I love Prucha and like the way they play. Plus all the former Rangers are familiar faces to root for.
In Los Angeles, the Vancouver Canucks ended the Kings season with a 4-2 win.
The Canucks had a three goal third period with goals from Kevin Bieksa, Daniel Sedin and Alexandre Burrows. Steve Bernier also scored for Vancouver.
For the Kings, Alexander Frolov and Drew Doughty scored.
Roberto Luongo stopped 30 of 32 shots.
…Damn, I had the Kings as the team I wanted to win since the Rangers weren’t playing. They have a hell of a bright future ahead of them with Doughty and Johnson and Kopitar and future star goalie Jonathan Bernier. They will be a competitor for seasons to come.
It took a little while but Vancouver showed how good they were and outlasted the Kings with their experience and talent.
