Olli Jokinen scored the tying goal last night off of a Kyle Okposo turnover in the second period. Jokinen also picked up an assist and was a plus 3 on the night.

…It was awesome to see Jokinen step up last night and play the game the Rangers hoped/thought he would bring to them.

Jay Greenberg in the NY Post writes about Jokinen trying to step his game back up:

“I am trying to work hard and be better without the puck,” he said. “Last couple of games I took steps in the right direction but there’s still room to improve.

Henrik Lundqvist told Steve Zipay that Jokinen had his game last night:

“Olli had great speed tonight,” said Henrik Lundqvist, who allowed two goals on the first nine shots before settling in. “He really stepped up at a great time.

As a Ranger, Jokinen has three goals and ten assists in 20 games.
