Vinny Prospal scored his first goals sine November 21st last night, his seventh and eighth on the season.  He has those two goals and three assists in the Rangers four game winning streak which also gives him 24 assists on this season.

Prospal was very happy that he was able to score a little last night:

It’s Christmas Eve for me tonight,” said Prospal.

“It’s just special every time you score two goals,” said Prospal. “I’m not a guy who scores 40 every year. It feels great to finally come out of it, and not just score one, but two in a game like this.”

…He hadn’t been scoring but he was always involved in the play. Prospal is someone who always gives his best effort and you can see that every night. He plays a lot for the Rangers on the top line, with Marian Gaborik, and the two have provided much of the scoring for this season.

A big bargain for the Rangers, Prospal is only costing $1.1 million this season on a one year deal.
