Practice: Boyle BACK In, Christensen Out

By Adam Rotter on 23. Dec, 2009

The Rangers entertain the Florida Panthers at home tonight and will welcome BACK into the lineup, Brian Boyle.

…Boyle had been suffering from a back injury, so any and all back related PUNS were in play today.

With Boyle re-entering the lineup, Erik Christensen will take a seat in the press box as a healthy scratch along with frequent member Aaron Voros.

Something that Tortorella wants to emphasize is winning at home. The Rangers are 7-9-1 at home and Tortorella doesn’t think that is acceptable.

Torts also spoke of potentially adding a seventh defenseman once the holiday roster freeze is over.

…The problem with that, is that it takes time away from someone like Sanguinetti or Heikkinen in Hartford. That is, unless, Wade Redden is the one seeing the press box, in that case, it could make sense for a seventh defenseman to be called up.
