Jim Baumbach of Newsday lists the top bargains of New York Sports athletes in today’s Newsday.

He lists two Islanders, John Tavares and Matt Moulson in the top three, and Rangers center Vinny Prospal at number eight.

Prospal signed a one year deal for $1.15 million after being bought up by Tampa Bay. He has six goals and 17 assists this season.

…Prospal has been a great surprise for the Rangers this year. Just imagine how the team would struggle if they just had Marian Gaborik and not Prospal. Thats a scary thought.
