Last night John Tortorella put Ales Kotalik on the top line with Marian Gaborik and Vinny Prospal. Kotalik played 17:50, had three shots and was a minus one.
And after just one game, Tortorella says that Kotalik’s time with them is up:
“I don’t think he [Kotalik] can play with the top two guys,” said Tortorella

…Well that was fast. Zipay notes that Avery could get a chance there and after having five shots last night, that very well could happen. This is certainly turning into a very big subplot for the Rangers as they can’t seem to find someone to play with those two.
Christopher Higgins could get the call. P.A. Parenteau could. Whoever it is, they need to find someone to fill that role because they need someone on that line to try and take some pressure of Gaborik on that line.
