Practice: Drury Works Out, More Powerplay Work
For the first time since being concussed November 7th in Calgary, Chris Drury has been cleared to take the next step in his recovery from the hit that has kept him out two weeks.
This was the first time, according to Andrew Gross, that Drury was at the MSG training center since November 11th.
…Excellent news but I don’t think we should see Drury for at least two more weeks at the absolute earliest. This isn’t something to mess with and the Rangers should know that after Mike Richter, Pat Lafontaine and good old #88 Eric Lindros.
As for the rest of practice, the focus seemed to continue to be on the struggling powerplay. The units were the same as yesterday’s.
Enver Lisin was dropped down to the fourth line with Brian Boyle and Aaron Voros while Donald Brashear has been moved up to skate with Christopher Higgins and Ryan Callahan.
