With the report yesterday that Peter Forsberg would stay in Sweden and play for Modo, former Ranger Markus Naslund, who retired from the NHL, is also coming back to play for Modo.

According to the report, both Forsberg and Naslund have refused salaries and will play for free.

…Now THAT is a deal.

Naslund had previously been rumored to join Modo a few months back.

Last season for the Rangers, Naslund scored 24 goals and 22 assists.

Naslund previously played with MoDo from 1990-93 and during the NHL lockout in 2004-05.
