Health: Drury And Dubinsky (NEW POSTS TO APPEAR UNDER)
Last night both Chris Drury and Brandon Dubinsky were injured in the Rangers loss to Calgary.
After the game, coach John Tortorella said that Drury has a concussion after being blindsided by Curtis Glencross:
“It’s a missed call and he’s concussed,” said head coach John Tortorella, who indicated that he expected each of his top two centers, Drury and Dubinsky, to be out for some time. “It should have been a five-minute major.
As for Dubinsky, who blocked a shot from Jay Bouwmesster, Tortorella said:
“I think, yeah, I’m not sure, they told me something was opened up. I’m sure it’s gonna be a little while. Rammer (trainer Jim Ramsey) came to the bench and said it opened up the skin, I’m not sure if it’s broken or not. But he’ll probably be out for awhile.”

..This isn’t good news in any way shape of form. Dubinsky had been playing well and his energy will be hard to replace. Drury has taken a lot of criticism recently, yet he is still one of the Rangers top defensive forwards and he will probably be sorely missed.
Luckily the Rangers don’t play until Thursday and have a spread of schedule over the next two weeks. Artem Anisimov will get to see increased playing time, a big chance for him. This could also start the Evgeny Grachev era if the Rangers feel that a) he is ready enough to play and contribute, or b) Dubinsky will be out long enough to warrant calling him up and mess with his development in Hartford
