Buzz: Brashear To Sit Out Again
Donald Brashear was brought in by Glen Sather to be the Rangers tough guy and protect players like Henrik Lundqvist and Marian Gaborik.
That is a tough thing to do when an injury keeps you out of the lineup like wrist injury that is lingering for Brashear.
He has missed seven of the Rangers seventeen games and hasn’t played since October 30th and then only one other time since October 19th.
Coach John Tortorella says that Brashear could play in an emergency but is waiting until he gets healthy to put him back in:
“We’re trying to get him healthy. He’s in a situation where he could play in an emergency—if he had to,” Tortorella said this monring, declaring that that the big forward’s overall shape was not an issue. “He’s in great condition”.
