Buzz: Naslund To Play For MoDo
According to Kevin Allen, via twitter, former Ranger Markus Naslund is considering a comeback with MoDo of the Swedish Elite League.
Naslund retired earlier this off-season in a move that saved the Rangers $4 million on the salary cap.
Last season for the Rangers, Naslund scored 24 goals and 22 assists.
Naslund previously played with MoDo from 1990-93 and during the NHL lockout in 2004-05.
Former Ranger Niklas Sundstrom is currently a member of MoDo. Former NHL great Peter Forsberg is also attempting a comeback with MoDo.
…Good for Naslund to keep playing hockey and as long as his numbers don’t return to the Rangers salary cap, its A-OK.
