Gotta like what you saw in the shootout. It would have been simple to go Prospal-Kotalik-Avery. Instead you saw two defenseman (Gilroy-Sanguinetti) along with Enver Lisin and PA Parenteau. This is exactly what preseason is all about.
If tonight was any indication of the kind of player Matt Gilroy will be, the Rangers got a solid player. At times he was all over the ice.
Good to see Evgeny Grachev and Enver Lisin have some chemistry.
Chad Johnson looked solid in net in both regulation and the shootout.
Agreed Monzo. Grachev is going to make the team. His play speaks for itself. Anybody who doesn’t see that at this point doesn’t know much about this game. Gilroy has got to make this team. Gorgeous goal and he is simply too good not to be on the varsity. Del Zotto should also make this team. He is very very good and all of 19!!!!!! Redden and Rozsival should be cut. Dolan has mega cashola and he should lick his wounds and eat that lost money and show Rozy and Redden the exit. How can you keep these kids off the team they are too good. How about Chad Johnson? Aside from that quick one he gave up to Clarkson (homo) which of course was Rozsival’s fault, Johnson looked very good in net. Maybe we can think of dealing Valliquette somewhere down the line if Johnson plays as well in Hartford this year. Anyone smell another deadline deal here?? We could sure use another true scorer to add to the mix. Lets see what happens in Detroit Friday. LETS GO RANGERS!!!!!!!!!
