Marian Gaborik skated for the first time today after being mostly held off the ice during the weekend and for today’s scrimmages. Gaborik did participate in drills today though and skated in conditioning laps.
Andrew Gross, of the Record, spoke to Gaborik who said that his issue has nothing to do with his hip problem from last year, but instead its a groin problem.
“It’s a little tightness,” Gaborik said. “The start of training camps are critical and a lot of times, the first couple of days it’s tough skating. I don’t want to push too hard, too quick.”
Gaborik is being looked at as day to day and probably won’t see action in the pre-season games the next two days.
Gross notes that Gaborik seemed frustrated but said this:
“I just want to get everything right from here now going forward.”
…Amen to that.

“DON’T YOU BELIEVE IT”, when I see the guy out there and skating like a 40-50 goal scorer for 75 + games then I’ll believe he’s OK. It’s as simple as that.
