Buzz: Rangers looking to trade out West?

Steve Zipay speculates the Rangers may be looking out West — perhaps LA, Chicago, SJ or Edmonton — for a possible trade.  Nothing specific, but with the Rangers still in need of a top-line center, anything is possible.

Monzo: Not a center, but Patrick Marleau?

    Monzo are you trying to say Marleau is not a center? last i checked that C next to his number that states his position meant center.

    I think he would flame out here with the pressure and i dont think they would take Rozi cause of all the high priced D they have but i would give them Rozi and Z for Marleau to let him have a shot for a year and if he busts thats 6.3 million off the books. Mara get 1 yr 1.5 mil to come back.

    A better deal i think would be Rozi and Z to LA for Frolov and Sean O’donnell. save 4 mil this year o’donnell becomes the 6/7 d-man for 1 yr at 1.2 mil, frolov replaces Z’s scoring. similar lineup with O’Donnell in for Mara, Dru back to center and frolov on the left wing. if they want they could use some of the savings for a sykora if he will come for a year.

      He may have played some center, but in my head he is a left wing. It is fun putting lines together. Not too bad, but I think Avery would useless on that line. BTW — Higgins I think will be a center on this team — but it would be fun seeing that line of kids.

        well he played a lot of center, but i can see your point because Drury is more of a wing then center at this point to me. Avery’s only purpose is to protect Artem. I dont like Korpo on the 3rd line but i dont see another winger in our system to step in there because i would like to see the org wait a year on grachev.

        so ur thinking more like dubi centers the 1st, higgins the 2nd, artem the 3rd and drury moves to wing?

        also the 525 for boyle seems dirt cheap even though he didnt produce a whole lot and helps to balance to overpayment to brashear
