Buzz: Cammalleri to Habs

Update: TSN has confirmed this. So Cammalleri to Montreal for five years and $30 million.

Reports out of Canada are saying that the Montreal Canadiens are close to signing Mike Cammalleri.

Daren Millard reports that it is a five year deal and over $5 million per year.

Damn, Cammer was top of my list for many months. And what stinks is that I kept having thoughts of…..Gomez to Cammalleri…..score. Only it will happen in Montreal evidently.

Monzo: And the airs come out of the balloon.  I really believe Sather has some kind of plan here.  We cannot come out of free agency with Donald Brashear and possibly Chris Neil.

    Monzo: if this is his plan this team is now in the Taylor Hall sweepstakes.

    Also with brashear making 1.4 and neil 2.2 any ranger fan that complains about the idea of paying cally or dubi 2.5 mil for 4 or 5 years should just shut up.

    Im really eager to see what the Rangers do…. We were missing that top goal scorer last season, and now, at this point, we are down another 70pt guy in gomez. So in all honesty, we now need 2 big time players. Theres gonna have to be a big time deal in the works somewhere. Who else is out there?!?! I mean look at Pittsburgh… It must be nice to have two of the top 3 points leaders in the leage, both over 100 pts… Thats what the rangers need!!!

    My Ranger brothers as I sit in disbelief there is only one thing Sather can do. He has to trade for Ilya Kovulchuk. I would say if he can stay healthy Gaborik will be great but I cringe just thinking about that injury report. So that being said we have to get Ilya Kovulchuk. He is not a happy dude in Atlanta and i think he would flourish in the midst of the big city lights. Nobody I repeat NOBODY HAS SCORED MORE GOALS THAN THIS GUY IN THE LAST 6 YEARS, COUNT EM SIX THAT’S RIGHT SIX YEARS GOING STRONG. And after the horrible start he had last year he still finished with an amazing year teamed with Bryan Little. Or who knows maybe it will be Lecavalier but I tell you this Brashear has got to get off this team. I will boo him so hard with the rest of the fans he will be run out of town in less than a week. Blair Betts should pay a hit man and get a two for one kind of killing two birds with one contract …… our deepest sympathies to Sather and Brashear
