Where would the Blueshirts be without Henrik Lundqvist? Well, not up 3-1 over the Washington Capitals in the first round of the Stanley Cup playoffs, that’s for sure.
The “King has been tremendous between the pipes for the Rangers, stopping an astounding 141 of 149 shots while being under siege what seems like the entire round thus far.
Lundqvist has not only been in position for the first shot, but he’s been there for second and third opportunities as well, frustrating the likes of Alex Ovechkin, Alexander Semin, and Nicklas Backstrom.
Should he keep this up, the Rangers may find themselves depper in the playoffs than they thought they would ever be.
