The Game:
The New York Rangers head down to North Carolina to take on the Hurricanes who are two points ahead of them
in the standings.
The Goaltenders:
Henrik Lundqvist (35-23-7, 2.46 GAA) starts in net for the Rangers.
Cam Ward (36-22-5, 2.45 GAA) gets the start for the Canes.
Carolina’s Leading Scorers:
Ray Whitney: 24 goals, 45 assists
Eric Staal: 34 goals, 33 assists
Tuomo Ruutu: 24 goals, 27 assists
Monzo’s Keys to the Game:
-Get to Cam Ward early. One of the reigning ‘Stars of the Month’ needs to face a lot of shots early and often to give the Rangers an early lead.
-Keep giving the puck to Ryan Callahan. With 21 goals, the young forward is on fire, give him plenty of power-play time and opportunities in front of the net.
-Need the same effort from Hank as Monday. He made 38 saves, but didn’t need to play on a ridiculous level — need the same thing tonight.
All Time:
Overall: 51-44-7-1
At Carolina: 18-29-3-0
This Season vs Carolina:
Dec. 13 Rangers 3, Hurricanes 2 (SO) at MSG
Jan. 27 Rangers 3, Hurricanes 2 at MSG

Notes:
- Michal Rozsival will not play tonight, Corey Potter will again play in his place.
